Jump Jam 2 is about to be underway fellow entities!

What is this ?
The main idea behind this is to get people who either haven't mapped before, fail to finish maps due to motivation or otherwise love staring at grids to sit down over 72 hours and just make some form of a jump map. Inspired by similar events for surf mapping and the TF2maps jams.

The map does not in anyway have to be complete. A submission with 3 awesome jumps may be better than 20 rushed dev-texture jumps.

If you want to participate as a mapper:
Join the steam-group below. A thread will be opened at the end of the event to allow submission of your entry. Additionally you can discuss the event here or on the RJWeekly discord channel.

AUS/NZ AEST
Start: 15th July (Saturday) - 7 AM
End: 18th July (Tuesday) - 7 AM

US EST
Start: 14th July (Friday) - 5 PM
End: 17th July (Monday) - 5 PM

US PDT
Start: 14th July (Friday) - 2 PM
End: 17th July (Monday) - 2 PM

UTC
Start: 14th July (Friday) - 9 PM
End: 17th July (Monday) - 9 PM

Rules and guidelines

- Must start a new/blank map (i.e. blank .vmf file). No working on partly done/abandoned stuff.

- No prefab maps. Font pre-fabs and the jump-mapping resource packs are fine.

- No group submissions. Individual effort only.

- Submitted map should be as the .bsp, i.e. properly compiled. If custom textures are used make sure it is packed. Also make sure it runs in-game, don't want to have to deal with "engine hunk overflow" errors etc.

- Lastly, the map should have working health and ammo regen (func_regen, where applicable and trigger_hurt), working teleports and no significant errors like massive leaks.

Submissions won't be rejected on these grounds but will probably be judged harshly.

Extra Submission Rule
Please include a screenshot of your lovely hammer grids when you start mapping which can show the time/date on your computer. An extra 1 or two including the final state of the map should also be included.

Send a message on the discord, or here if you would like to participate in the judging. The only real prerequisite is someone being a semi-regular of the jumping community and/or who will take it seriously.

IF enough judges can be assured it may be possible to allow entrants to also judge (minus your own submission). So feel free to mention if you would like to do this and I'll put you up as a conditional judge.
