How to submit your runs
How to name your demos
Name your demo in this format: bg5_name_map_time_tick_demotype
Example: bg5_nick_serenity_1-06-1_4201738_POV
This would be a 1:06.1 run on jump_serenity by nick that starts at tick 4201738. Naming your demo correctly makes it much easier to find and watch demos. POV and STV are required for offline runs, POV demos may be excused if the run you are submitting took place on Tempus.
Trickjump GuidelinesThere will be 3 trickjump categories, solo (soldier and demo) and co-op (any class). You can submit a max of 4 jumps for each class and 3 jumps for co-op (so you can submit 11 total if you want).
We will be accepting trickjumps from June 9th to July 13th at 23:59 EDT

MEDALSThis year we have medals for participants, helpers, and first through third placements.
To be eligible for a participant medal you must send in a run that's faster than the showcase time (in-game timer time, or if it doesn't exist, the video time) of the map you submit a run on, send in a trickjump that isn't obviously bad, or participate in the live race, to learn how to do that go to
http://race.bg5.tfIf you're lazy, times to beat are listed below. You only need to beat one of these times to get a participant medal. If you're even lazier, here's a tip: jump_serenity's time to beat is the easiest out of all of them.
jump_serenity - 2:45
jump_lithium - 2:58
jump_obelisk - 5:44
jump_cavern - 3:40
jump_nebuchadnezzar - 4:36
jump_psionic - 6:41
INCLUDE YOUR STEAM ID 64 OR YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A MEDALYou can take a look at the medals here
You can find your id64 at
https://steamidfinder.com/ or
https://steamrep.com/I'm making this post a bit earlier this year than previous Beginnings because I would love to have some community discussion as to how to make this year's event avoid any possible hiccups. I very much encourage everyone to leave a comment on this post if they have any suggestions for BG5.
