How does one use a timer offline? Is there a plugin I could download which would enable me to speed run maps offline and see my time down to the 100th of a second? Should have asked this question ages ago considering people have been speed running jump maps for years long before tempus.

record a demo.
do the run.
count the ticks and multiply by 66.66666666666.
or just record it into an avi and use vegas or any other editting suite to see the time.

But with drexen's timer you don't need to do any of that for maps that have it added.

How do I know when to start the timer? I suppose I'd just end it when I cross the point, right?

Do you mean the tf2jump forums?

When to start a timer on your run can vary.

I'd say after the first rj on the first jump. However, some people start the timer from the spawn, like on jump_skylight.
