when pogoing along a path you will gain speed and thus you cannot shoot the rocket straight below you anymore. this is because if you're going faster the rocket that you are shooting will get more and more behind you because it's a projectile and doesn't blast immediately. slowly shift your aim upwards a little (a few degrees) as you gain speed.

syncs are just timing and practice. they'll become second nature eventually. there is honestly nothing wrong with looking up at just 1 rocket but it'll be easier on your hands if you just memorize the timing and feel

when shooting a rocket at a wall you hold a and you need to get back to the wall before the next rocket fires with d. try playing around with the timing of just holding down the fire key and changing when you hold a and d.

Anybody else have any specific observations, based on my demos provided, that could provide useful hints and advice?

They've given you excellent advice. I'd try to improve on what they've already given you before you ask for more.

I think I've found that for right walls, you have to press A first, then shoot. I have a bad habit of holding D too much. Part of doing those right walls is strafing hard right as part of the "shoot against the wall" element, like so:

1. Jump up near the wall, using D if necessary;
2. Turn about 90 degrees to the right;
3. Hold A;
4. Shoot in "that spot";
5. Quickly look forward again;
6. Hold D and strafe hard to the right, then start again at point #3; time from #3 to #6 is less than half a second.

It's a very speedy and precise operation. The faster you go the harder it gets.

Well, I'm happy to say today that I completed the RED course of jump_4starters...a nice accomplishment. :) Am I going to be able to complete it tomorrow, or maybe the next day? Probably not!

And...I still am rubbish at right walls. Some days I do fine. Other days like today I can't seem to do them. Grrr.

By the way. When you do left walls (and I'm even worse at those) like what he does in 4:13 here, do you just hold W the whole time and nothing else?

Sens means nothing, it depends on the mouse.
Just sayin, I have 2 mouses, on the first one I play with 2.75 but with the other I have to put it to ~7 to have the SAME game sens.

For wall climbing, say on the times you have to speed pogo up to a wall then climb up it, is it okay to use the A/D keys to keep yourself climbing straight up or just hold W and use the rockets to try to straighten yourself out?
