smf makes it impossible to hide posts from "recent posts from all categories" from forums that you have access to
if anyone wants to learn how smf works and makes a php plugin for it, then i'll glady put it on

there is a plugin currently for "view unread posts since your last visit," though.  I can do that if you guys want.
I can also make the meme board only for registered users, if that helps.

i personally do not want to learn how smf works and make a plugin out of it ://
