i think you still need an fgd to get this to work. heres the one ive always used. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yzbna72rr0af8j3/zzz_filter_tf_class.fgd?dl=0

tools > options > add button next to game data files

You can easily edit the FGD you are using (i.e the TF2maps one or default) with notepad/notepad+, just copy paste any FGD code from the wiki down the bottom of the text.

Also you can use the class filter for a few other triggers/entities, like trigger_multiples.

I'm just going to say do not edit any of the fgds that come standard with tf2. They will be overwritten every time the game updates.
