Hi there folks, a lot of you long time jumpers probably know some of the rules I'm about to list, however I've had some issues with people who have made offenses based off of information that isn't easily available for the public to see, so I'm making this post to clear up the do's and don'ts of getting your jumps onto RJWeekly.

Send your jumps to TF2RJWeekly#7283 on Discord, or to tf2rjdropbox@gmail.com

Jumps and runs using the rocket jumper and sticky jumper will not be used.
  - Why? : Neither of these weapons provide painmarks when you're jumping which can be a dead giveaway to whether or not you're TAS'ing a jump and/or run. Obviously if a run looks like TAS we'll go into further investigation but we won't let one of the main giveaways be ignored.

Anything submitted using outside plugins will not be accepted, this includes but is not limited to syncr, bouncealert, ctap scripts, and TAS (duh).
  - Why? : These provide advantages that most people are ignorant of, and the advantages are too great to let it slip by.
  - Are there exceptions? : Yes, so long as it helps define the jump or doesn't provide too much assistance. Examples of this include using kritz in a coop jump, increasing airaccel in trickjumps that could use it, or using thirdperson. It might be hard to tell whats ok and whats not, so use your best judgement. Depending on the severity of how much plugin assistance you've received and whether or not its a first time offense, we will keep you off of the channel.

Runs that are not WR will not be accepted.
  - Why? : RJWeekly has held itself to the high standard of the best jumping this game has to offer. If we offer anything below that, we're doing a disservice to anyone watching.

Don't send us your own edit when you do a jump or run.
  - Why? : If your run gets declined, you've wasted a bunch of time spent editing a video, also, we have editors for a reason, they want to edit. If you have a problem with the editors we have working for the channel, let us know and we'll do whatever workarounds we can so long as it doesn't disrupt our workflow.
  - What if I want to edit my own run? : http://jump.tf/forum/index.php/topic,1808.0.html

Don't upload anything you've sent to us, or plan on sending to us before we upload it.
  - Why? : Anyone who has already seen whatever you've uploaded won't have a reason to watch it on our channel. If you want your channel to grow as a result of stuff that's also on ours, link us your channel when you send in a jump and we'll put it in the description.

With the exception of runs gotten on tempus, you need to include a POV and an STV demo when sending us jumps.
  - Why? : To prevent cheating.

What about that time when there was a video made that went against one of these rules?
  - There's no point in reminding us, we know that. Things come to us as they go and we'll learn from those mistakes.

How to record and submit jumps:

1. Load TF2
2. Enable console and type "tv_enable 1" (this will enable STV).
3. Load a map using "map [mapname]".
4. Once loaded in, begin recording both a POV and STV demo by inputting: "tv_record [demoname_tv]; record [demoname]".
5. After you've done your jump, input "tv_stoprecord; stop" to end both your STV and POV demos.
6. Exit the map and hit shift + f2 on the main menu to open up the demoui.
7. Click load and search for the demo you recorded, then select and play it.
8. Go to the point in the recording in which you did the jump, and look around the bottom left of the demo UI to see the current tick (ticks are lick timestamps).
9. Once you find the tick, write it down, and include it in your jump submission.

IMPORTANT

We will only accept submissions that include both an STV and POV demo.
STV's are used for recording and making videos, while POV's are used to make sure a jump is genuine.
Thus, both are incredibly important.

Once you have all of your stuff, send your jump through discord to TF2RJWeekly#7283, or through email to tf2rjdropbox@gmail.com.

Do so using this formatting:

Name:
Ticks:
Demo DL:
Submission for:

Example:

Name: Syro
Ticks: 15550 - 16240
Demo DL: https://i.imgur.com/ZPuj9NC.png (jumps uploaded to Dropbox, Google Drive, Mediafire, and Mega are acceptable.)
Submission for: JCM

Same directions in video form:

Hopefully you've read all of that if you plan on submitting, if I've left out or messed up anything just reply here and I'll update this post.

Well I guess I already broke one of these rules by putting the beef run on my channel. Does this rule also apply to runs that were uploaded elsewhere, before TF2RJ, and with a different edit (my quattro run)? If so I apologise.

Also, I was going to upload my upcoming lanc run to my channel. Seeing how I can't do that, please link my channel in the description as you said. My jumping channel is my livelihood; without it my family would starve and curse my name for eternity (remember to like, comment and subscribe!, it really helps me out!!!!!)

I assume the pov AND stv rule still doesn't apply to tempus runs?

Who doesn't use auto-pov recording in 2017 anyway?

If I only have a pov demo of a trickjump on a listen server, should I not bother submitting it or does this rule only apply to map runs and not trickjumps?

this applies to both jumps and runs, so you shouldn't bother sending it in
