everyones favorite type of map, dev texture airpogo!

8 jumps.
t6 airpogo map probably somewhere between storm and carrot in difficulty, t4-5 soldier with some fun edgebug and strafe jumps (no wallpogo :) ). 2 quality gimmick bonuses

Yo, I tried out your map, and there's a few jumps that seem pretty hard for soldier. (If I'm just not doing them right though, let me know)

3 is the first jump I had trouble with.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
If you're meant to edgebug on the smallest ledge there, that seems really hard because of the approach. And if you're meant to edgebug to the left of that, you have to slow down a lot to hit it, so you won't be able to get to the catapult.

5 seems almost doable, but after the edgebug, i was never going fast enough to hit the next catapult. There is a cheat, however. You can shoot yourself backwards straight after doing the starting catapult and fly right to the second.

The transition from the second to third catapult on 7 also seems absurdly hard.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

On level 8, after the first catapult, I could never get to the second because I would bonk every time.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The ceiling does transition to be a bit higher about halfway between them though, so are you meant to get to that before you bonk? Because if so, that also seems absurdly hard.

The rest of the jumps are alright. :)

PS: The bonuses are very nice, especially b1

PPS: The strafe at the end of level 6 is a bit mean for soldier, but it's ok if you don't change it.

yeah, i would always hit the smallest ledge you just have to strafe right then left in a very wide circle to be lined up well. it's sort of awkward but i think once you learn how to do it it's not too bad? im willing to change it if people disagree

5 is the only jump i couldnt do because i grinded trying to hit the edgebug for forever and just gave up and forgot to come back to it, whoops. ill have to try that cheat out but if it works maybe ill just leave it as is and that's an intended feature..

The transition from the second to third catapult on 7 also seems absurdly hard.

it's a tight wiggle / headbug to make it easier but i never had any troubles there. if anyone else has issues i can nerf it somehow

On level 8, after the first catapult, I could never get to the second because I would bonk every time.

intended is a very tight strafe to avoid bonking but you can make it a lot easier by hitting the side of the catapult and being lower. ive done it before from the top of the catapult while crouched but its possible somethings changed since then, current version is definitely possible if you hit lower on the catapult.

ty for feedback. i was considering adding explanation text for the jumps but usually when i see them on maps i just feel like they're annoying / pointless so if thats something that people would like to see i can try putting those in.

Hey, no problem :)

After some more testing tho, I found 2 things. Basically level 3 and 8 are alright now that I actually know how to do them

1: Hitting the bottom part of the U shape on level 3 is a way better strat than hitting the left side so it's all good. (Just shoot yourself down and a little forward)
2: You were right about level 8. All I had to do was hit lower on the starter catapult to make it to the second.

And hey, maybe instead of help blocks/question marks explaining each jump, have the edges soldier needs to edgebug on glow somehow. And have just 1 help block saying "Soldier: Edgebug on glowing edges" That would probably be enough info. :)
