Hello jumpers!

jump_escape is a t5 soldier map with 18 jumps. The jumps have been made by shakez, the detailing and connectors by Bob Dynamit.

First of all, thanks for the kind messages  :D

Second of all, smol update from b7 to rc1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ab3qd7933fe8xg0/jump_escape_rc1.bsp?dl=0

Changes:
  • added pants' timer
  • added shoutouts at the end
  • added some more secret textures
  • fixed some visual bugs
  • increased the trigger_push force on the connector from 13 to 14

In summary, the jumps havent changed, only some detailing.
Mmod version update comes tommorow.

Mmod version doesnt have pants' timer since it would be kind of unnecesarry.

Sorry for spamming this thread. There was a weird glitch which caused errors with some of the water in the mmod version. This has been fixed in the new rc2 version.

Yo epic map! The detailing is quite intense.

All the jumps in this map are really well-spaced, well done there.

My only critiques are jump 15, the greenhouse strafing pogos jump, and last.

For jump 15, please extend the walls to the top and bottom, otherwise it is really hard to tell where to go/what to do.

For the greenhouse strafe pogo one, the strafing feels quite awkward/tight. I get that it's the point of the jump but I'm personally not a fan.

For last, the distance is quite far. It's not like super hard but it's still farther than a good distance imo. Also, the wooden platforms and the ladder at the end kind of feel bait-y since I thought you could land there.

Epic map tho :D

Update to rc3:

Changes:
  • some more nonade, some more teles for anti cheat
  • some tele destinations were a bit too high
  • small box around the cp to indicate where the cp is
  • added arrow on last to make the end more clear
I also tried to make j15 more clear, but couldnt get a satisfying result, so it ended up being the same as the other versions.
