On the lighting front - you could adjust the amount and color of the light reflected by the textures. You could also add variety by adding empty honeycomb (replace barnblitz wood, its darker in color) or honeycomb with larvae. Depending on the type of bees you are thinking of, you could add different textures, like a greyish papery texture for paper wasps; or change up some of the elements to reflect the actual structure of beehives (search up 'Wild Comb' and you'll get some ideas I'm sure). If you can find bee models, or even overlays, those would be good additions too!
edit: The yellow and black hazard texture would also make for some variety. Mimic bee stripes.
