So I've been throwing ideas around in my head for a good while now, booted up Hammer and tripped on the first step.
Basically, I've yet to find a comprehensive guide on how to configure Hammer, ie. the game config is not set up properly, thus preventing the work area from functioning.

As a side note, my files are split across two drives, as in the tools (the sdk - 2007 & multiplayer) are on D: and TF2 is on the primary C:.

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't use SDK 2007. That should only be used if you're using propper.

[drive]:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin\hammer.exe

Use that one.

If you're using the right hammer, all you have to do is choose team fortress 2 on the pop-up when you start it iirc.

I am launching from Source SDK, not 2007. I only downloaded that in case I needed it. I'm also launching from the tools menu, though I've read starting the exe is the better option. I'll try that.

Well that made me look like a right tit. That worked, thanks.
