How tedious and annoying is the work

Some maps take only 15 minutes, others I've spent 2 hours on. So it definitely can be tedious at times.

Thanks for the responses so far. Nominations are good, but I probably won't be approaching people, instead waiting for them to respond or be nudged by someone else. I don't want to pressure anyone into something their not fully committed to doing
