In furthering my efforts to
burn everyone's retinas create an enjoyable ambiance in my maps I've been playing around with some more advanced lighting/reflections etc.
Map seemed to be fine, sans some performance issues that I think are largely just due to vis and drawing lots at the same time (workin on some optimisation) but today after compiling and stuffing around with cubemaps all my light entities (just plain 'light') are now rendering with visible spherical points. I re-ran the map with a different name to eliminate the possibility of cubemaps being the culprit (the pics are without any building of cubemaps). I've also tried different lightmap scales to no avail. The hammer error reporter (alt+p) doesn't report anything and my compile log had one (largely innocuous error) that's probably pointing to a displacement
I've also tried placing new 'light' entities which also exhibit the same display error. My environment and texture lights are perfectly fine however.
If anyone's seen similar issues or has a bright idea I would appreciate it. So far the only thing I can think of that I haven't attempted is to remove all the displacements, if for some bizarre reason that innocuous error is the culprit (but the map compiled before with proper light entities w/out me changing any of the displacements).
