here is what is happening
I've been using the extra-super-possible-lowest ultra toaster graphical settings for around 2 years. I have every possible external software set up to increase in-game performance (like videocard driver settings, nvidia inspector etc.)
Now I need to make a map showcase and obviously I want my tf2 to look decent.
Here is what I did:
- wiped all the configs I have, removed dx81
- installed Comanglia's Cinema Config, made my game run at -dxlvl98
- resetted Nvidia Inpector's tf2 settings (removed low LOD, and literally everything from the videocard's settings)
- set up a "high quality" mode in nvidia control panel
- tried to run game with -default option and
however, I still have low quallity textures and player's models
am I mad and tf2 actually looks like this? because I literally have no idea how it is supposed to look like, but I think in various vids from the internet it looks way better
it looks like it syncs with Steam Cloud but there IS a difference between old config and new config, but some of the parameters are just like... not overriding?
