Tempus Update

Hi all, time for a much-needed update.

The last few months have been very busy for me personally. I've put very little time into Tempus and I think it shows.
Jay has been great in keeping things afloat, and has continued developing better tools for admins, and some web stuff that we will eventually debut.

Moving forward there are a couple changes:
Firstly, Gauge is stepping down from hosting the EU servers. A huge thanks to him for his time and resources. Server hosting can be expensive and thankless.
The EU servers will remain as is until the end of July.
If anyone is willing to step up in the place of Gauge, please add myself or Jay. We can help advise on the likely cost, and will handle the entire set-up process.
It isn't feasible for Jay and I to host all the back-end and game servers on our finances alone. So thanks again to all our generous providers (Natta, AG, Andy and Whisker).

Peace has stepped down as Map Manager, so thanks to him for the time he put into it the role.
In his place, Sere and Chuck have volunteered themselves. I'll be teaching them the process over the coming 1-2 weeks, so expect new maps back in the rotation around this time.

I'm looking to do a better job at delegating, so that things can always keep moving and improving.

Lastly, thanks to everyone for their patience over the last few months

Have you guys thought about funding the servers with a crowdfunding service? You could set up monthly donations with Patreon or do a GoFundMe campaign whenever you run out of money. Something like Patreon seems like the better choice to me because you don't have to advertise the campaign every time like Wikipedia does, which is always quite obnoxious to be honest.

Even if everyone isn't involved I'm sure we can get the servers going with a community effort, I agree with Oats and even if I can't really pay too much I'm ready to help a bit.

I've tried to gather some people who may be willing to pay small amounts each per month for hosting.
Confirmed is Boshy and I.
Potentially Tyrael, itac, Gorge (BIG maybe), Dingyy.
I hope to add to this list, anyone who is willing is much appreciated.

Yea, doing something like Patreon would be great even as addition to someone who pays the majority let's say. Because then everyone that wants to, can just pitch in monthly and donate how much they can, and a lot of small amounts add up to a nice sum...
