EU servers

Now that Gauge is gone, Rob is kindly hosting the EU servers. However he cannot afford good ones which is causing a lot of problems. The ones we have now have increased *MOST* peoples pings by 15-30 ms. We have seen the return of extreme join and leave lag, which was almost gone before, and there are points where if the server is almost full it becomes unplayably laggy and rubber-band-y. It's pretty bad.

We are basically asking if anyone at all could help towards paying for a new server.

To clarify a few things:

Ideally, we want a single person that will take responsibility for the regular server payments. They can organise private funds or support from other players, but if the donations stop coming through, they need to be in a position to pay. It would be great to avoid the route of begging for donations on the server.

We need to know better hosting options. Current servers are with NFO, with the same package we have previously used. But obviously something is different if they are this bad. So hopefully someone has suggestions / experience here.

Lastly, we will organise all set up and maintenance of the servers. This is purely financial support.

Would be really good for this to be resolved soon. The current server running both eu beginner/advanced regularly starts lagging to the point of unplayability (>10x per day), only fixed when it eventually crashes up to an hour later.

Also, the sooner this is resolved, the less Rob is out of pocket. There seem to be easily enough people to provide money now, the only thing missing is the one person who can cover it if money doesn't turn up for whatever reason.
