Hello fellow gamers

I'm here to share a new amazing and ugly beautiful dev textures map, and be reassured, it's much less diabolic than the previous maps I did, and probably funnier for most people !
Map isn't finished yet so you can basically cheat it by shooting every walls, but the walls that you can actually use should be quite obvious.

Also I don't think you need help with how to do the jumps, ask me if you really can't figure them out (just a little help, wallsyncs and ctap, or look at the showcase now :) )
I'm looking for any kind of feedback, spacing works but could always be improved so tell me. I'm looking for demo feedback too, white walls and floor will bounce stickies so you can basically use the same walls as soldiers.

Not sure about tier, should be T4-5 for Soldier and I've no clues for demo, t5-6 because of the airpogos Idk

Updated to b3, map is fully connected with some speedrun strats, I reworked the last to be more consistent (the sloped jurf was kinda buggy and I changed the smooth corner to be normally consistent this time). Added anti cheat to the whole map too
I recommend to use gunboats or hurtme, you could die eventually

Cool map, I really like how fast you go on some of the jumps. Only thing that bothers me is the really really really long connectors, they feel quite bland and boring.
The spacing is honestly pretty good, the only (very minor) adjustment I noticed that could be made is lowering the double catch on jump 1.
tl;dr Spice up the Connectors and you have a banger map

I've to tell that it was a first time doing connectors and It was somewhat messy. The thing I tried to do was to reward people doing the jump greatly. It works pretty fine for most of them, although I understand that they can be too long if you miss the strat. And there's one that is probably too long even with the good strat so.. My map file is huge mess but I'll try to at least fix the very long connector.

Also, I'm not sure to know how to "spice up" connectors (excepting lenght), any ideas ? :)

Changed spacing/visual of some connectors

It should be last version unless someone found a big issue.

Love the map, definitely a high teir 4 or teir 5 map. Your map kicked my ass as i aint that great with wall shots. The speed was great and how you fixed the connectors seems to work well as there not that long.

I did find somethings that im just going to put in a list that i found a little off.

jump 3 has a clipping problem.
jump 5 no rocket trigger should be placed in front of water to prevent cheese

jump 3 on the right side where the white wall meets up with the blue wall there is like the smallest bit of the white wall sticking out and I clipped it more than a couple times.
jump 5 solid jump and this is completely up to you but I was able to cheese it with a water sync not sure if you want to add a trigger in front of the water to prevent cheese.

Here is some feedback to make me being in the shoutouts more legitimate :)

All the jumps are nicely spaced in my opinion so I only have a couple of general things
  • Having numbers for the jumps would be nice.
  • All of the wallshots that are sticking out don't have clip/playerclip in front of them, so you can bonk on the sides. Here is a picture of what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/eyJUMpx.
    The jump this was the most noticeable was the downwardslide+two downward wallshots jump
  • If you fail the strat then the connector to last is rather annoying because the walls are nonade. I guess this is to prevent cheats, but still.
  • The bonus feels a bit similar to the downward slide jump but it is nice.  I also like that there is a funny strat for it which I have some feedback on:

  • Last but not least I got close to dying at some jumps even tho I use gunboats, so the map could use some trigger_hurt/tick regen
Overall very epic map tho!

Alright, map updated !

  • Added timer
  • Added tick regen
  • Added jump numbers
  • Changed the connector to last, it should be less annoying if you miss the strat and you can't cheat it anymore (because you could before even with really short shotable walls), however the speedstrat is a bit nerfed
  • Respaced the bonus, I've no clue if it helps with your strat as I'm not sure I did understand it really well, let me know !

Bonus was a prototype of jump 9 so this is why they're so similar :)
The no playerclip is intended, I don't think I'll change that

awesome map as always ^^

All the jumps were super fun and everything was clear and you could work out what to do. besides prelast maybe, which seemed kinda awkward to me but maybe i was doing it wrong.
Some of the end connectors were pretty fun and i think this has been mentioned but a lot of them are boring and long, such as the long fall after the waterjump to wallshots to wallsync jump.

Also this map would be even more epic with playerclips, i hurt my face a lot hitting into the sides of walls  with super speed c:

Map updated, I added playerclips where I thought it was important, I don't want to playerclip everything because invisible walls can be annoying but tell me if you think it really lacks somewhere.

Thanks Zyphon for the feedback, I can't really change the long fall connector due to how the map is built, so I'll just try to not make the same mistake for the next map :)

 I didn't playerclip bonus jump since I'm not sure how demo will complete this jump and I think playerclips could be annoying for them so it will probably stay like that.

I don't plan to add detailling so it's pretty much finale version, excepting as always If something really annoying is found !

This is one of the most fun maps I've ever played, there are only a few insignificant things I can think of that might need changing

Map updated to final version
  • Readjusted playerclip of jump 4
  • Added playerclip to the ramp connectors to prevent potential bugs (I bugued only once and not really sure why, I hope It will fix it)
  • Added playerclip to jump 9, fixed jump 2, and added teleporters to jump 3 and 5 if you fail
