Plenty of courses play like bonuses; if we accept the idea that he only cheated times that he thought were Dumb And Not Cool, there's not much difference between the jump_straight courses and random bonuses. Where's the audit on those?

Don't try to argue that Boshy's actions as admin are precedent for anything other than a full player wipe and a permaban.

cheating is one thing, trying to hide your cheating is another. the former can be attributed to being dumb as fuck, the second leaves no room for doubt of maliciousness. if boshy was a random sure he can take a 3 month vacation and come back just like everyone else. since he was an admin he needs to be held to a higher standard. he's supposed to be enforcing the integrity of tempus and instead he decides to fuckin play games and undermine everything competitive speedrunning stands for.

in any other community he would've gotten a perma and wipe on all runs.

honestly i just feel sad for boshy, sad that he had to do what he did to feel good about an arbitrary points system. next time just change your run times in the db instead. it's easier and you won't have to grind bonuses :)

I've spent the past day reflecting on this situation and I think the OP is well written and I agree with most of it. It is really awesome to be able to see exactly how the Gaylord b2 zones have been modified. We already knew that the start zone had been modified, and we strongly suspected that the third modification put the zone further back than it originally was, so it's nice to see this confirmed. We also knew that the end zone was modified but unlike with the start zone, the evidence regarding this was not 100% conclusive. Big ups to Katto for managing to break the WR even after he noticed that the zones had been changed, as it made it really easy to demonstrate that something was wrong the end zone in video format.

Moreover, Boshy's apology is unfortunately lacking. The apology fails to provide specific information, such as exactly which bonuses were cheated and how. There is also no admission of guilt to the behaviour displayed during the investigation, such as lying and denying accusations. Boshy has a lot more to admit other than vaguely mentioning cheating, admin abuse, and "betraying the trust".

About the punishment, I think the length of the ban does not reflect the severity of Boshy's actions. Sure, a three month ban is justified for that extent of cheating alone. But on top of this, admin was abused to achieve the cheating and hide the evidence. Admins are specifically entrusted with privileges to use for the good of the community, and Boshy used these for personal gain. Boshy was also uncooperative with the investigation by denying accusations of freeze-glitching and editing zones when presented with evidence. Because of these aggravating circumstances, I think the ban should be at least six months.

I think it's fine that map or course times are not wiped, since no indication of these times being cheated has been found so far. If any evidence is found regarding cheated courses/maps, I think the ban should be extended by a lot.

Cheaters are never sorry for cheating, they're only sorry for being caught.

Lagbinding is a basic ability that every class is capඞble of. It moves the player 45 Hammer units vertically. Lagging can be used to reach elevated positions, shorten walking distance, or avoid enemy fire. By default, jumping is performed by pressing ` on Windows, Mac or SteamOS/Linux,  on the Xbox 360, or  on the PlayStation 3.
In addition to this basic lag jumping ability of limited height, most classes have means of technical jumping that can exploit weapons or other effects to reach much greater heights.

After taking a close look at all the evidence, I really don?t think Boshy did that much wrong! Why would legit times be wiped?? I don't understඞnd that!! Boshy is the face of jumping and the undisputed best jumper to have ever existed, so I really don't think he should be banned for that long?. He clearly apologized and is sorry for his actions, I think that?s sufficient punishment.. I?ve personally talked to Boshy for hours on end and I think he is truly ready for redemption! I don't think it's fair to invalidate all of the clearly legitimate runs he?s achieved. First of all, there were many many cheaters back in the day who went unpunished like raiin!? Where is the justice? How can we have faith in a system where some blatant cheaters go unpunished and others are permanently banned for minor infractions? That being said, he might be a sly fox, but he is still the heart and soul of the jump community. He even sent me a video of him personally busting his own suit with mud, very impressive! First born of his name, slayer boshy. Rode into the ashes one day, using his faithful lagspear of pwn, stricken down unjustly by the evil tt dark. slayn by his own kin?Do you remember what happened during the 2012 weap0wned jump era? We stood for this man in the harshest times, but not for boshy? Disgrace. The JumpAcademy Revolution against the w33dsk1ll kr3w in 2013? DaiperDan 1v1 mud wrestling vs Arcanus44? Of course you don?t remember lol? Prototypes porckhopping minecraft!?!? I?ve staired into the depths of hell. In summary, I think Dooshy has learned his lesson well enough and should be punished less severely. I eagerly await the day I can tune into another Boshy stream and witness the pinnacle of tf2 jumping skill. Leave us foxes alone! When i wanted to quit jumping it was boshy who kept me going and gave me the courage to keep running tf2rjweekly as long as i did. I wanted to stop but his runs were just so GOD. DAMN. GOOD. My name Bඞshy. Sorry bad englandsky. I grow up in small farm to have make potatos. Father say "Boshy, potato harvest is bඞd. Need you to have play professional Team Fortress 2 jumpin in twitch for make money for head-scarf for babushka." I bring honor to komrade and babushka!!! Boshy never asked for donations, exile did. Remember that? -.- ?last guy is hit 22? - proto, just now.

Basic lagbind jump

▒███▒▒▌■▐▒▒▒▒▌■▐▒▒███▒

A lag jump is any jump assisted by the console command of the boshys own lagbind. A player can use ping himself to great heights and distances, usually at the cost of some health. This technique is often used to reach unusual locations on the map, cover ground quickly, bypass barriers, and surprise foes. To assist with rocket jumps, the Soldier has a 40% lag damage resistance against any rocket he fires that hurts him while he is in the air. This resistance will take effect even if an enemy was hit with the same rocket used to rocket jump, unlike the Gunboats. Critical hits do not deal extra self-damage or extra knockback to the Soldier, so they will not propel him further. Any rocket jumping Soldier will display burning, smoky boots until he lands, similar to the Demoman.
To execute a rocket jump, simultaneously jump and fire a rocket at the ground below. The angle of the shot and distance from the explosion will determine the velocity and height of the jump. Crouch-jumping before firing the rocket will launch the player significantly farther. The sooner the explosion is made after jumping, the farther and faster the Soldier will fly.
The Market Gardener will deal lethal lඞg hits (2000 ping)
when the user is lag jumping. Landing one of these can sometimes lead to a very impressive and satisfactory lag. Enemy rockets, grenades and stickies will count as an binded jump if the player is not killed by the explosion. Experienced players can sometimes use this to land critical hits against enemies. Players can also bunnyhop on the ground very precisely before hitting someone to gain a critical hit. The B.A.S.E. Jumper can also be utilized by keeping the player airborne while they attack people with the Market Gardener.
Overload autism
An Overload autism can be achieved by jumping while overloading the Twitch Beggar's. This form of autism jumping is unique in the fact that it can allow the autist to perform up to three lag bind jumps in mid-air, without worrying about having a surface to propel from, and allows the autist to achieve heights often denied to other jumpers. Practice is required to time when to lag and where to aim while overautisming, but the technique isn't too difficult to learn. Due to the self-inflicted damage harm from autism jumping, especially if the Soldier plans on over-tisming three times per 'jump,' the Leather Boots are highly suggested for this technique, as it will decrease the amount of damage from autists. Knowing where High IQ Packs are on the map is also a necessity, as the multiple overautism bursts and soy  damage will often leave the lagger at very low health.
