Holy crap this map is crazy!!

At first I was like "meh" im not interested in another bounce map, especially not if its t6. But after reading shakez' feedback I decided to download it.

Loved the intro. I would change the last instruction to make it more clear. I didnt quite understand it on my first walkthrough and as a result got stuck on 4. (bc I didnt realize I have to land on the Auto EB crouched). Maybe something like this would be better:
"If there is a uncrouched bounce/bhop after a ramp, you have to hit the EB on the ramp uncrouched."
"If there is a crouched bounce after a ramp, you have to hit the EB on the ramp crouched."
Just a suggestion though, maybe Im just smol brain and am the only one that didnt quite get what you meant.

Also a skip the intro button might be helpful for when youve played the map before and dont want to replay the intro.

After realizing the ramp thing on jump 4 I really liked it. It is honestly the best bounce jump I have ever played. Loved the bounce combination with auto EB.  Spacing was just perfect for me!

Also the 4x PB (j11 or so) felt way easier than the jumps before and should (imo) be earlier.

Im not good enough to give enough to give relevant feedback on the other jumps. Also the map is quite long for a bounce map imo.

I absolutely loved the detailing on the later jumps though!
This one is my favourite: https://imgur.com/a/AJmkucn
Kind of a jaw dropping moment for me, since I didnt expect at all coming from the previous jumps. This jump has this kind of evil atmosphere to it. I cant quite explain why its so great, it just feels good ingame. I dont think it quite transfered in the pic but ingame i loved it.

If possible, please detail the earlier jumps as well  ;D
Maybe, if every jump is detailed like this, it could lose its wow effect though. Maybe thats why you didnt add as much at the start. In that case, adding increasingly more detailing with increasing jump number could be an idea. For example it starts out with a simple window on jump 1 and then gets more crazy along the way. Just an idea though.

Also the name sounds like it is a spell from Harry Potter. Pretty cool.

I really liked the map, even though Im not nearly good enough to finish it. I would still try to see how far I could go once the map comes online anyway. There are some really fun ideas here.

Thanks for the feedback both of you, very useful.

Map updated to b2
  • Fixed texture incoherences
  • Re-ordered the jumps
  • Increased the wall size of former jump 12 to avoid being owned
  • Deleted the wallpogo part of former jump 10 and adjusted a bit the wall before ramp + extended the platform for the 2nd bounce (timing is the same, it's weird Ik)
  • Fixed the intro text concerning the auto-edgebug part, I'll add a skip button later
  • More jumps are detailled :D
I'll add jump number later if no one complains about jump order. I need to finish detailling and it should be all good. A TAS showcase is coming too
Still feel free to give feedback about anything

Updated to b3

  • Added jump numbers
  • All jumps are detailled (I hate detailling so it could be better but whatever)
  • Added the button to skip the intro

Map should be finished and ready, showcase soon

Very good stuff, high quality mapping all around. Very refreshing considering the garbage we've been served in the past few months.

Cool level ideas, lots of interesting stuff going beyond your typical bounce map, and well executed overall. Solid detailing, it's nice to have a bounce map not made out of shoeboxes with aggressive flat rainbow textures. Very much enjoyed the indicators (big thanks for adding if the edgebugs were crouched or not), not needing tooltips makes the map so much more enjoyable to learn.

My only complain is in a few places the floor textures made it a bit hard to understand your speed. It's also kind of a shame some cheats sneaked through unnoticed, but hopefully this means next map will be even more robust.

Great work, looking forward to your next one!
