Hammer completely crashed on me?

I was working on a map last night.  Compiled using cordon tool as normal, tried to load the map in tf2, got an error that something about the map exceeding the boundaries.  Compiled again, tried loading again, same error.

Okay.  I'll just save my map in Hammer, exit out, and reload. <save and quit Hammer>

Hammer shortcut now doesn't work, says it links to a file that's invalid or missing.

Okay.

Search everywhere on my computer for Hammer.  Nothing. 

Anyone run into anything like this before?

have you tried looking in team fortress 2\bin\ ? there should be the hammer editor in there. if not you can try verifying your game cache
