I've been sitting on this map for several months. Never felt like finishing the bonus, but it's done now--mostly. If you see any problems, let me know and I'll fix it.

There are three things left I need to do: fix the star sound, find the SMB 3 block textures for course 2, and remember the third thing to do. I may get to none of that because I am tired of looking at this map.

There are around 50 jumps on the map:

Course 1 -- Strafes -- 13
Course 2 -- Skips -- 17
Course 3 -- Syncs -- 12
Course 4 -- ??? --- 7

It is about 120mb. Not too bad given its size, and that it uses all custom textures. I'd upload screenshots, but I am way too lazy for that. Oh, I just remembered the third thing: create a custom water texture. Ya. Way too lazy for that too. No wonder I forgot it.

I am bumping up against some internal limits in hammer because I can’t add the 5th secret and the last bonus jump without issues arising. For now, the last bonus tele simply opens up the 4th CP. Bums me out a little.

I saw the first screenshot and got super excited for an sm64 jump map, then I saw the other ones :(

I made the bonus area last, so a remake of the N64 game wasn't on my mind. I just grabbed Mario textures, and made the bonus as an homage. I kind of considered a heavier N64 influence at the end, since the remake of the castle is not complete crap, but, man, that would be a lot of work. And I am crap in hammer.

I've seen a TF2 remake of the little big stage: when you have to climb the mountain as little and giant Mario. I was tentatively thinking about what it would take to port the game into jumps. That is a hefty goal, though. I like thematic work, but that would be a real tall order. The castle isn't even that true to the original either. Should be spiraling staircases on the 2nd floor, and the layout should be a little different.

I was contemplating putting in some coin chases in the game, but never got to it. There is actually a fair amount of detailing and bonus stuff I didn't get too--or ran out of room. I was gonna remake the secret princess slide in the castle, but ran out of room.

On c2 stage 3 put playerclip brush , can make it just 1 jumpshot  ::)

C3 stage idk? The sync bounce , you can using wallhop there (more consistent than sync bounce imo , tested it with 100 ping :-X )

What jump are you talking about? All the bonus jumps are surfs--more or less.

You only get 4 rockets to downpogo and skip the sync bounce. Is it that much easier? Putting the nogrens on the walls is a piece of cake. I might change it to avoid cheating.

Maybe you could make the lights on the jurf bonus jumps brighter, its pretty dark.
