Are closed betas allowed for new maps?

(not sure if this post goes here or in New Maps, or if it's already been answered)

I've got a jump map that is currently in beta. It's still a bit too rough for an actual beta release, and there are areas I'm pretty sure I'd want to fix. First, though, I'd like to get some input from just one or two people in the jump community, to see if they have they same feeling. Is that allowed, or is a download link mandatory for posting a map?

just get the feedback from your m8s until you feel the community is ready to test it

It would be better if you give it to some people on steam first rather than posting it in the New Map section, so it doesn't get cluttered up. If you have no good jumpers/mappers in your friends list, then just ask for help in the Jump Mapping section or directly ask some good jumpers on steam.

You can add me if you want, but I am not really a good jumper and I am being away over the weekend.

I am not the best jumper but I've been mapping since like 2007, so if you want input on the mapping itself I'd be happy to check it out. You can add me on steam if that sounds good.
