We are now introducing the ability for players to complete a full wipe of their times, and start fresh!

This has been a popular request amongst players, but is a complicated process with several factors that need considering. That being said, here is the process to complete a wipe:

Type !wipe, read the info and initiate the request, wait 3 days and then complete the request (!wipe).
The request automatically expires after 5 days, if expired, a new request needs to be initiated.

Timeline:

< Start >
!wipe initiated
Pending phase begins

< 3 days later >
!wipe can now be completed

< 5 days later >
!wipe expires if not completed
A new !wipe needs to be initiated

Wipe Reversals:
We have added the ability for admins to reverse player wipes. However, we stress that players should not rely on reversals, only wipe if you are willing to lose your times.

Alt Accounts:
With this added functionality, we will also be taking a firmer stance against alt accounts that are deemed 'competitive'. This means we don't want alt accounts with top10 times or high completion (> 30%) levels. We hope players understand why we do this and act reasonably.

Q: Why does it take 3 days to complete the wipe?
A: A player wipe is a serious decision that players should not be able to complete instantly. This gives time for players to think it over, and also reduces the chance that a friend/brother/dog could log in and complete a wipe on your times.

Q: Why does it expire after 5 days?
A: Similiar to above, having a limited timeframe to complete the wipe will help with security, and ensuring players really want to complete the wipe.

Q: Can I reverse all my wipes?
A: No, an admin can only reverse your latest wipe. And it we will review case-by-case if it we should do a reversal or not.

Q: My times were wiped by an admin!
A: Should have stuck to the rules! Punishments involving a wipe will show up and, of course, won't be reversible.

Q: Why can't I wipe if I have over 5 WRs?
A: WRs are important to not only the record holders, but a lot of people chasing the top ranks. To help maintain the level of competition in Tempus you will have to speak to an admin about going ahead with a wipe. We mainly want to see if you are planning to retake these records and stay competitive, or are wanting a wipe for another reason.
