Hey guys, here's my first map: jump_chambers

It's a pretty easy solly map with 18 jumps - let me know what you think!

Nice map.

9 - Can you start that with a bounce? or do you have to do a single downpogo?
11 - You can stand on the white "barrier" just in front of the hole. And the bigger problem, you can just do  walljump of the initial white wall a go through the hole with that. Skipping the whole pogo with that.
No visible difference between a platform that you can ss and that you have to pogo or skip (15)

Hey there Dr. Heinz.

9- This is a single downpogo.

11- Standing on the white barrier is a genuine mistake, and I put a teleport to prevent people skipping this level but it was not large enough, a friend found this strategy and I've decided that it's a pseudo speedrun strat (is that too cheesy?)

15- This was something I was concerned with on the speedshot stage, however I hoped that after the first few attempts players would realise they can stand on this and that's it's a speedshot. I didn't change the texture since it's the only speedshot on the map, so in my eyes it doesn't make a difference.

11 is really bad man, its basically the same as lvl 2 now.
15 would be better if it had a visible difference, at first I thought it was a double catch, but nothing major.

Ok this map got me so angry that I have to reply. Please make teleports on skip/etc. plats only 1 unit and add more height to ceiling on the jump where you go skip -> SS -> sync so you can just do a double SS to skip the sync. Otherwise nice map..

EDIT and pls pls rework tele destinations so you dont go flying after failing a jump, they are too high atm and move them closer to where you start jump (optional)

I really like the style of the map

The only bad thing is that the tele's are too high :)

To add to what others have already said - which I agree with - I think the jump order is a little wack, and I don't like when ss platforms are the same texture as skip platforms.

Ok, I've made some changes according to your points.

• can't skip stage 11 anymore
• speedshot platform has a different texture to skips
• platform teleports are 1 hammer unit tall now
• teleports after failing levels have been lowered
• ceiling of speedshot level has been raised (not sure what you were getting at here)
• stages are now numbered

Everything should be working now.

Would be nice if you had numberversions and not called everything jump_chambers but something like jump_chambers_v1, jump_chambers_v2.

Yeah, I was wondering about when it's appropriate to change the map's name, since the changes I made were pretty small. I'll change the mediafire link to a renamed version now.

You can do that lvl with a double ss (good speedrun shortcut imo) but the ceiling needs to be higher for that. A lot higher than what it is now.

No, you don't understand it I think.
You can, if you get enough speed from the first platfrom, sync 2 rockets at the speedshot platfrom for a double speedshot and fly to the end from there.
Al you need to do is raise the ceiling.

Oh, I understand now. I didn't even consider that a strategy to complete the stage. Sorry for that misunderstanding. Updating links now with a new version, the ceiling should be high enough.
