its too far gone

Not really. Just because some of the more famous jumpers stepped down, doesn't mean anything. If you've been on tempus, people are still breaking records, and ranks are being taken like always. Getting wr's is harder than ever since times are getting so good, and yet people are still beating them.

Are we talking about these eight or so really laggy servers with just one map on it?

New servers, revamped, in the process of becoming great. Weapowned has been overthrown due to his "dictator" like management. His whole team left him to follow AI....thats the level of awesome that we're dealing with.

Post edited because because AI said i was too mean  :'(
All in all goodluck AI, may your memes spread far and wide across the the community

I also don't know why JA insists to remain in their enclosed and ignorant ecosystem, they get easily awed at jumps that can be done with a bit of practise and good mentoring.

I think that's the point of this shakeup. The breakdown of the weird directed ecosystem, and connecting those players more with the experienced community and providing better tools for helping them get better.

It's just started, and it's obviously a change for the better, so lets see what effects it has before passing early judgement or being too harsh on their old system or any people in particular.

Nah, the servers are just there for the foundation.

Inb4 competitive-style teaching/learning.

Dictator like management? More like plain delusional and unable to maintain the growing community. He ruined the potential of JA with his immature mindset, poorly thought out decisions and ego trips. I'm honestly not confident that the JA community even want changes that benefit them due to the influence enforced onto them that weapowned is the head honcho and the brilliance of the TF2 jumping community.

I also don't know why JA insists to remain in their enclosed and ignorant ecosystem, they get easily awed at jumps that can be done with a bit of practise and good mentoring. Seriously, the JA and beginner Tempus ecosystems are basically the blind leading the blind.

As great of a person as AI is, I don't know if he can change the mindsets of fucking bronies and furries that 80% of the JA community consists of.
I totally agree with your view but I think if we at least try it's better than doing nothing at all. Somewhere in the shitheap that are those communities there might be someone good.

If you redo the map, make sure to add a million baby steps at the beginning again.

There is a severe lack of properly done baby tier maps because nobody likes to create them and advanced jumpers never play them. Most maps have two or three easy jumps at the beginning and then the difficulty goes up rather drastically, which is pretty frustrating for new jumpers. I think the main appeal of Jump Academy was that really bad jumpers could improve gradually over the course of many really easy jumps, make sure to keep that ideal intact.

Definitely this, I think easier jump maps like rush or beef really help newbies set their first steps. It's prolly the single biggest reason Jump Academy servers have so many players.
