So Im using Chris's config (maxframe maybe? i forgot :/ ), everytime i record a demo to make a jump video, the demo still in that blocky graphic :( so i have to switch to dx9frame (which i believe is default config) n switch back again, pretty troublesome. So im here to ask is there a command to easily switch to default graphic n texture or some way to set back to default when recording?

Hope u guiz can help me out tq :)

I think if you boot tf2 with Lawena you can choose which custom files are loaded on launch, you could probably switch from a maxframes to a dx9 config that way. Other option is just make a desktop shortcut and move in and out your autoexec each time (which the Lawena route basically does) or just rename one to like autoexec2 then rename the other.

However I still think you need to change in the launch options the dx level for the first launch if you are going between dx levels so there may be no quick way around your problem, correct me if I'm wrong.

Just use lawena.
But ALWAYS back up your own custom folder in case something goes wrong.

Lol its actually pretty weird to close tf2 n change autoexec file cause i tried doing it be4 n it turns out when i put back my highframe (config in be4), it actually get lagger than i use it be4, thats y i changed it to maxframe :/

Yea change launcher option is done for the first chris config used, lol i didnt know that this action causes my problem here :l thanks for telling me this though, im noob in this kind of thing :d

Lawena takes too much spaces i tried :( but it seem like im out of option, guess im gonna clear my pc storage =/

Launch and record with lawena, if that is not an option, launch with lawena en then record with fraps.

ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR CUSTOM FOLDER!

Don't listen to pants, no need to touch your launchoptions or anything.

Yeah I wasn't 100% on the dx thing, I just remember the config always said change the launch options once, then remove from the command line when fiddling around with dx levels.

When you launch with lawena it automatically executes a super high quality graphics cfg.

Which is why I don't bother with it because I do that everytime I launch tf2 anyway.

That, and then don't use lawena to record, but only use it for the high graphics. And use fraps for the recording.

Yeah I did that when I used bandicam for everything, but now I just use the startmovie command because I can batch render things in Vdub and use a stupid high framerate for slow mo in post.

Note that the main benefit of using Lawena besides the nice configs included is that you can record at high fps rates regardless of how good your computer is. So unless you have a computer that can easily run TF2 at that graphics level and record at a nice fps with fraps (admittedly not too hard given most jump maps aren't too harsh on frames), you're prolly better off clearing up about 10ish GB of space to use Lawena for the actual recording.

fraps uses a lot of space too, makes more sense to record at a lower framerate with lawena

=o I see how it works there, thanks guiz :D

I think I can manage make that happen

fraps uses a lot of space too, makes more sense to record at a lower framerate with lawena

fraps didnt really take a lot of spaces, no matter how much fps i set it, the result still shiity :c
But the only way that seem works is clearing 10gb n record in low framerate, i think i should change that

Really appreciate everyone advice here :)
