I want to start off by saying that this post is not about whether or not I (or any of you) dislike or like seras. I personally don't know him so I remain completely natural towards him. This post is purely about the fairness and integrity within the TF2 competitive jump community. It is simply about having an unfair advantage over the fierce battles of time trial competition and rank. Recently, seras was exposed by VAC for installing (and using) a paid version of a hacked client called lmaobox. Following his VAC ban, there have been many heated discussions about if he should be wiped. I found that the most common argument against a wipe is that there is no proof of him using lmaobox in tempus. Fortunatly, the tempus network excels at providing .dem evidence to not only help jumpers, but to expose unfair advantages.

I now present to everybody undeniable proof that seras used an unfair bhop advantage in his jump_asdf WR. I am posting a link to the public .dem and listing the starting tick value of every bhop that seras performed (both fails and successes). The list starts from when he joined a team, to when he joined spectator. I encourage everybody to watch the .dem yourself and to not just take my word for it.

111640 - seras Joins Spectator

*Starting at tick 63700, seras unintentionally landed on the wrong platform and was teleported while lmaobox still attempted to perform a bhop by jumping after he was teleported.
This is further evidence that lmaobox was used during his run and it also happened again starting at tick 110550.

After the failed bhop at tick 22765, seras performed 32 consecutive bhop and 1 random bhop. The bhop blooper at tick 63700 also provides further proof that bhop assist was used during this WR run.

While it is true that seras is one of the best legit TF2 jumpers, an unfair bhop advantage was ultimately used in this WR, and most likely many more TT's and WR's.

he didn't get 32 consecutive bhops there were plenty failed bhops inbetween, and he only got 1 random bhop

63700 is proof of nothing as he saw the platform, wasn't facing backward or anything, and could have simply rolled his mouse wheel or hit space attempting the random

sure he did in fact get a lot of bhops and i can understand the concern pertaining to this demo but i remain of the mind that bhops are just not that difficult it's just simple timing, and the only way we're gonna have actual proof of him cheating is if he gets his ass up here and defends himself or admits it but he will do neither of those two things

all i see here is someone who is a suspected cheater (not gonna deny that he might have cheated, just questioning the idea that he DEFINITELY WITHOUT QUESTION cheated) and who is really good at rocket powers

but my opinion doesn't matter so i'll leave it to the rest of you

Rocket powers? I don't think so. We know what they're called.

Your statement is incorrect. Please provide the tick values of the bhops he failed so that your claim can be verified.

i will redact my statement about the consecutive bhops as i was under the impression that lmaobox would allow for easy random bhops, but more thought + conversation with boshy brought to light that it wouldn't work like that

the failed bhops i mentioned were random

however i will reiterate my statement about tick 63700 and that the bhops on this map are easy

I assumed that people would watch the entire demo (or at least watch the jumps at 63700 & 110550) for full context. The platform seras unintentionally hit would have in no way helped his run and it was not part of his WR strat. He just fell short because his angled bhop was too far back and bhop assistance took over. He did the same thing at 110550 so it couldn't have been an "accidental space/mwheel hit".

I think this is a great discussion and I urge everybody who is reading to watch the demo and come up with your own conclusions.

i did watch the demo and at 63700 it was apparent that he fucked up, but the point is that he SAW the platform, so why wouldn't he go for the random?

If Tempus wipes for lag binds, which are not hacks at all, then I think not wiping for a tf2 vac ban is ridiculous.

Honestly it doesn't matter if we caught him using hacks with this demo or not. The fact that he was VAC'd makes him unable to be trusted on any of his runs. In a speedrun-centric server community, you best be skeptical of anything that can be skeptical. It doesn't make sense to just have him stay on the rankings because any single one of his times could have been cheated. He hasn't come out and said anything, so the safe option is to remove his times or at least take them off the rankings for the time being until he decides to explain himself.

Even if he does try to explain himself, it's going to be hard to believe him. People make "oh but I was just testing lmaobox and stuff" all the time and that's not going to save anyone's ass because everyone lies to try to save their own ass. human nature all human are bad thomas hobbes is right we're all fucked. The one time we pardon someone for cheating and have his/her time stay on the listing, everyone's going to be like "why did HE get to keep his times????" and it's going to be a whole mess to resolve. Better safe than sorry.

I'm not saying that his runs can't be legit but due to the circumstances that have surfaced it's hard for anyone to trust Seras. If he wasn't VAC'd, then we can easily say that he is a rockethop god and a master at the Rocket Jumping for the Team Fortress 2 Video Game for the PC.

I'll just leave my previous points here

as John said his trust is violated and that alone is reason to wipe

secondly, people aren't machines. You can be good at bhops or bad at bhops, but humans simply cannot get a frame perfect timing 32 times in a row. It just doesn't work like that.
