This seems like an off-topic thread, imo.

Anyway...

This is literally one of the most cliche french songs that you could have posted.

I learned how to sing this in my french 2 class.

I could post more songs covering the entire spectrum of genres (about 4 more than are included) that I listen to, but this post is already too long.

----------------------------------------------------

Bonobo - Kong
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

----------------------------------------------------

Haywyre - Dichotomy
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Haywyre is easily my favorite electronic artist. His music isn't generic and is also consistently good.

----------------------------------------------------

Yo-Yo Ma - Meditation From Thais
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

----------------------------------------------------

Oscar Peterson Trio - I've Got It Bad & That Ain't Good
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Ever since I heard this song last August, I've been in love with it. Oscar Peterson was, in my opinion, one of the best Jazz musicians to ever exist. On multiple occasions, I've listened to this song for four or more hours straight, without getting tired of the song. If you're not paying attention to the song, then its swift bursts of piano can stay unpredictable, thus allowing for you to never feel like you're hearing repetition.

----------------------------------------------------

Demetori - Innocent Treasures
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

----------------------------------------------------

Ratatat - Bilar
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

This is one of the few songs by Ratatat that I love. This, next to Sunblocks & Pricks of Brightness is one of my favorite songs.

----------------------------------------------------

Jaga Jazzist - Lithuania
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

----------------------------------------------------

Little People - Csay Csay
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I LOVE ALMOST EVERY SONG THAT LITTLE PEOPLE HAS MADE.

----------------------------------------------------

Vessels - Echo In
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

----------------------------------------------------

Howard Shore - The Fellowship Reunited
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Lord of the Rings has always been my favorite series of books and movies. Its soundtrack doesn't fail in being one of the prominent reasons as to why.

----------------------------------------------------

Phildel - Qi
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

----------------------------------------------------

Bach - Watchet Auf, Ruft Uns Die Stimme, BWV 140 (arr. G. Bantock)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

----------------------------------------------------

Jontron YTPMV's by Tryhard Videos
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Oh boy Primus :D

I also really like some Guqin (sp) Chinese music, iirc its more like a zither than the koto/gayageum giving it a bit more dynamic range I think. I'd also sell my kidneys to get one.

i'd sell my feet to get an erhu. i really really would. it's just so goddamn expressive and beautiful. sure, it's a bit limited pitch and dynamic-wise, but still. it sounds like a beautiful female voice and i can't get enough of it
