So for the past few weeks the US east (and possibly other regions') beginner and advanced servers have had a tendency to after a while experience horrible lag and stuttering before the servers just crash at the same time. At least in the case of the east servers this provider was fine in the past (unless the servers were recently switched) and there were no problems to really complain about like this. If this could be addressed so I do not lose yet another jump_mireal run (so far 3 to server crashes) to nonsense it would be greatly appreciated.

That issue is far worse in eu servers, probably just because of bad server since they downgraded recently.

It's weird that east started having those crashes since everything was working very well since we upgraded server.

this is to the point where it was a while back with join lag, right now theres no point in even bothering to play on tempus anymore because the crashes are so common

These crashes seem to be a result of increased RAM usage over time (memory leak) ever since the Meet Your Match update. The US servers each have 1.5GB available per server, which no longer seems to be enough (as far as I recall, the maximum they used to reach was around 700-800MB).

We're looking into either upgrading the servers or finding a temporary workaround for issue.

EDIT:
Affected regions are US West, US East, Australia and Europe. The Singapore and Russian servers should be unaffected as they have a bit more RAM.

Good news, this should now be fixed! The memory leak was caused by a regression when we had to revert to an older version of Tempus. It would only occur on maps with a certain type of entity (func_tracktrain), which explains why it was happening at seemingly random times of the day.

The fix will be active after the next server restart.
