Ok I have a small amount of free time and once again thought about an idea I've kicked around for a bit. Basically its TAS-beginnings, but obviously with some super duper rad name instead. I also have some leftover jumpjam junk to throw away.

The idea is that an entirely new map, designed specifically for TAS  is made and then released giving people a few days or up to a week to come up with the fastest inhumanly possible run. The map would ideally avoid annoying TAS stuff like random bounces(teleheight 2+ unless for intended bounces) and overall might be in the vicinity of a normal t5-6 map.

If there is some interest I might start on a map and work out the details.

Good idea.

I'd love to see a huge room with random stuff all over the place and you'd have to go from one side of the room to the other without a specific route. Now that's a challenge to see who can do it faster.

I ALSO VOTE FOR NAMING THE MAP TASMANIA

Ok started on something, whilst I'd love to do some cosy Tasmanian forest map I've gone with something easier for my sanity; we can all just imagine tasmania is in space in the grim dark future.

Some things I'm trending towards in regards to map design.
- Very restrictive start/end conditions of the map which allows a Drexen timer to be the easiest way to judge times (unless two times are within .000000000001 sec)
- Avoiding teleport transitions if I can
- Designing jumps with hard strategies to begin with, but then adding additional slower but easier bits so that later on this might be adaptable as a normal map.
- No 1 unit teleports unless its a specified bounce.
- No regen restricted areas; gets tedious with TAS to game regen anyway.

I would recommend having a point_clientcommand to say start and end in chat for the timer, that way it's easy to be 100% tick accurate.
