Can anybody link to a good up to date propper installation guide? Every one I've seen has been different, and some are just outdated. I've been trying to get it to work for like 2 hours and it's giving me a headache.

I have wasted a shitload of time trying to make it work. Here is a guide that helped me http://www.negroserver.com/forums/showthread.php?1266-GUIDE-Using-Propper-after-Steampipe-2013

TL;DR: you will need to create extra source "game" that works with 2007 engine version and run one extra instance of Hammer from this game. That will let Propper work. It eats ~40-60 gb of additional HDD space and a lot of pointless file-copying to set up. If you need to compile just several models you can send me source files and I will gladly do it for you.

Follow this: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Propper

Just need to drop propper.fgd & .exe in your "Team Fortress 2/bin" (not "Team Fortress 2/tf/bin"). Add fgd to hammer game data files and compile with the propper configuration.

Okay, it should now be installed. But now i can't figure out how to get the props to compile... What should I be putting under model name, material path and source folder?

for model name u set whatever path for your model you want relatively to /models/ plus the name you want it to have
I used props/jump_hanami/base so in this case it would be base.mdl located in models/props/jump_hanami

as material path it should be the same path after /materials/
so I ended up having models/props/jump_hanami/base

source folder doesnt matter much its just where your source .qc files and stuff are stored before propper compiles them
I just had c:/propsource for it

if you want to move your custom model to another location dont forget to modify it's materials path as well
also if you use pakrat make sure to pack the materials manually because although pakrat detects custom models he doesnt detect their textures

after that u just create prop static and search your model using the name u put in as the model name

also dont forget to use -staticproplighting for VRAD

Yeah this just isn't working for whatever reason, it doesn't seem to be finding the propper.exe in my teamfortress 2/bin folder.

If you could, that would be fantastic. I give up. https://www.dropbox.com/s/xu5ydk291o0j4qq/fracture_props.vmf?dl=0

Here you go.

All compiled like you set them up with a path you stated in each propper_model. Also, I hope you understand you won't be able to retexture them once compiled.

It seems that only the textures for 2 of the props have been compiled :( Who knew propper was this obnoxious.

Seems like propper is bad with mass props compiling. Here we go again https://www.dropbox.com/s/kboevcn21v2zs70/compiled_props.7z?dl=0
