General Rules
 
Trickjumping and Speedrunning Rules

- No tool assisted speedruns
- No using setpos for telesyncs
- No noclip
- No B.A.S.E Jumper
- No using console cheats such as sv_gravity, slomo, buddha etc commands
- No cl_pitchdown / console-assisted angled bhops
- No assist plugins/scripts such as bhop/bcheck/syncr/jumpbot/etc
- No rampfix plugin
Basically don't use anything that would give you an advantage over other competitors.

Speedrun Rules
 

- Soldier's Weapons Whitelist
[PRIMARY] Stock Rocket Launcher / Rocket Jumper / Original
[SECONDARY] Shotgun / Gunboats
[MELEE] Shovel or Comparable melee weapon
 
 
- Demoman's Weapons Whitelist
[PRIMARY] Stock Grenade Launcher ONLY (No Ali Baba's Wee Booties/Bootlegger/Loose Cannon/etc)
[SECONDARY] Sticky Launcher ONLY (No Chargin' Targe/Scottish Resistance/Sticky Jumper/etc)
[MELEE] Bottle and any comparable melee weapon (no caber)

No hurtme!
No ammo/health regen scripts!

Every donator's name will be listed in the announcement that will be announced with the items that are donated
after the corresponding stage winner is announced

Speedrunning Competition (January 7th - January 27th)
 

The speedrunning contest will be similar to Beginnings 3. We will release 2 maps each week (6 maps in total), one being for demo and one for soldier. Players can participate in both the demo and soldier competitions.  Stage 1 will be released on January 7th. You will have 1 week from the release of the map (That following Friday 11:59pm PST) to submit the week's map's runs.

How to name your demos
 
Name your demo in this format:  map_time_name_tick_demotype
Example:  Beyond_2_01_3_Kendrick_9000_POV
 
This would be a 2:01.3 run on jump_beyond by Kendrick that starts at tick 9000.  Naming your demo correctly makes it much easier to find and watch demos. Please try and include both POV and STV demos! 
 
Prizes
 
This year we are doing things a bit differently. There is no more 'overall' category for speedrunning. Only the top 3 per map will get rewards. We are also doing a prize pool for every event. This means the more you donate, the larger the prizes!
 
Speedrun Breakdown

60% of the Prize Pool Total
1st - 10% per map (of that 60%)
2nd - 4% per map
3rd - 2.6% per map

Trickjump Breakdown:
 

Solo
7.5% of the prize pool (15% total for demo+soldier)
1st - 60%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 10%

Co-op
15% of the prize pool
1st - 60%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 10%

Mappers and editors are getting a 5%/5% split for their hard work this year.

Trickjump Competition (December 24th - January 27th)
 

There will be 3 trickjump categories, solo (soldier and demo) and co-op (any class). You can submit a max of 4 jumps for solo and 3 jumps for co-op (so you can submit 7 total if you want). This means you cannot submit 3 solo soldier jumps and 2 solo demo jumps.

If protist doesn't come back we might need to delay the event or use another mapper for stage 1. Unfortunate that he missed the deadline and never even emailed me about it so we could have moved the date beforehand. Thinking we are going to delay it by 1-2 weeks right now to make it a better event time for everyone.
