Manually wiping is done on a case by case basis with a few key factors considered and not done by request only. Player initiated wiping was a heavily requested feature in the past and still remains a frequently used feature today. I do understand the concern of wiping players who have crossed the threshold of 5 WRs (so they can't do it themselves), and the overall stance of this has changed very recently in favour of preserving records.

To recap, any decisions made to wipe players manually were not made without considerable reasons, but this is very unlikely to happen in the future. Player initiated wiping is still very much open to discussion but as it stands currently there are no compelling reasons to change it.

Overall I think wiping is beneficial for the players themselves, but can have some obvious ramifications depending on what was wiped.

as for my reason for wiping occasionally, it's because i'll do a map and accidentally forget to turn the timer off (most of the time) or if i wanna see if I can beat a bonus wr for shits and kicks but that shouldnt matter nobody cares about bonus wr's anyway

Can't you just keep all top 10 times and change the runner names of each wiped top time to something random? So if Boshy would wipe himself all his tt runs would become "Bugs Bunny", "Micky Mouse", "Goofy", etc.

This way you don't know who did it anymore, but you still have the time as a reference for other jumpers.

Keeping all wiped TTs may be a bit excessive as they don't serve any real purpose. Where a WR is a baseline for excellence and something to beat and compare your checkpoints to, a TT is none of that.

I don't think a single bonus would warrant a fix like that, depending on how it is impossible for demo it may just end up being a 2 point triple pre pipe WR bonus. I've ignored several t0 bonuses for soldiers simply because the content it creates is no where near the amount of work needed to source a fix for it.

With that said, I will look at it and there could be a fix for it in the near future.

while that is technically true, this rule can easily be gotten around by account sharing or freezeglitching and getting caught on purpose
