Wiping was my main complaint but I guess there are some reasonable points to be made about the soldierifying thing. Still think it's just adding poop content but I guess it's content nonetheless.

When I first wiped, I did it because I kinda stopped jumping that time, and I did not want my really few tts to just sit there, I wanted those few people to get some extra points. (they were gonna be taken over eventually anyway) Also, it feels shit to see your rank slowly falling down, and it was fun seeing Hungary losing 50% of its points

bottom line on soldierifying is that nothing about the maps or runs are different and yet now soldiers are able to play them so what's the problem. even if it can be considered "lazy" content, it's still content, and nobody is paid to map for us so w/e

Just because you can't do them/don't play demo doesn't mean they're bad. I actually enjoy running airpogo maps more than anything else, so it's kind of unfair for people to just say "remove those shitty airpogo maps". Those kinds of maps may be unreasonably hard for most of the community, but they are important because they are basically the end goal of any dedicated demo jumper. If this thread is actually going to change anything (related to the ORIGINAL post, which was mainly about wiping), and is actually "realtalk", please stay on topic and don't spiral the thread off into your personal problems with the maps on tempus, especially considering you don't even run maps.

• if people didn't want to play airpogo maps they wouldn't let me play them all day on east advanced
• you live closer to the west coast so why don't you jump there instead of the east servers it'd be pretty easy to get a map too due to west advanced being almost always empty
• you just wipe the second you get completion on tempus so you might as well be jumping offline

I've wiped twice and at the time I was rank 13 and 7 respectively for soldier. Obviously I wiped a lot of runs and a couple of wrs (not over the 5 limit) but if I hadn't have done that I probably would have completely quit. Wiping completely refreshes my want to play this game and that is the sole reason I do it, not to just be annoying and 'oh I wiped yeah give me attention'. As for soliders being able to complete more maps, I don't see the problem in any way.
