go to tick 370000 and watch me... wtf

the only thing i can think of is some weird interaction due to how you can walk up small stairs, since those are actual stairs and not a playerclip ramp.

It must have something to do with how source deals with walking up small (16hu and less) steps.

A similar thing seems to happen in the beginning of Torii's showcase of jump_legion

it almost looks like it might be a remnant of ancient code, like how you could gain height by jumping off of props real fast in quake

If this happens when you slide over a small ledge during the "hit the ground but haven't stopped moving yet" ticks when you can speedshot, then it's surely something that can be consistent
