As of the time that I'm writing this post, March 9, we have not received a JOTW submission since February 10. We need a lot more submissions or we might have to make some changes to the channel which we'll look into and discuss with you guys if this problem continues to go on.

I understand Eden is coming up and you're all sending stuff to that but this problem has been around since before I took over the channel.

Honestly you could just rip some bonus wrs from tempus as there are some pretty nutty airpogos and strats for a few of them.

But I guess the issue with that is its extra work to seek out jumps and then edit them, rather than just having crisp jumps express delivered into your email. Not to mention not everyone would want to have their jumps featured.

Perhaps this can be improved by increasing the availability of semi-private jump servers with STV enabled, especially for co-op jumps.

Over the years I've had a couple of requests to borrow a private server to record dank jamps, but each time I had to set it up and dismantle it manually.

Would the community benefit from a serveme.tf-style reservation system but only configured for jump?

thats an interesting concept but i doubt theres a big enough demographic to justify doing that

I go to AI for like 90% of my coop jumps, I'd use it 8)

I'm sure a lot of others would too

frankly my server (not ACTUALLY mine just the one i manage) is pretty much set up for trickjumps, anyone can use it whenever just gotta hit me up and i'll help out with passwording and sv_cheats and shit 66.151.244.45:27015

it's in dallas though which is a problem for a bunch of folks but if you don't mind a bit of ping feel completely free

the most traffic it gets anyway is for trickjumps

Good trickjumps are really boring to grind out and there aren't many people who can be bothered to do them. Also didn't mireal send in like 3 of his jumps...

ESPECIALLY now since the skill ceiling has been going up SO MUCH (same goes for runs but it's a bit different, I guess).

I like Scotch's idea but editing an epic strat within a run might be really weird.

I also like the idea of servers dedicated to trickjumps but it only makes sens for coop since you can just load any map offline and grind all the same (if not easier) solo tricks.

If you're lacking tricks but still want to upload stuff, maybe go for your map showcase idea

But being featured in a JOTW is already worth 50 e-fame points

I think they're more fun than speedrunning :P

and if you jump offline nobody can see ur epic cosmetics! I'd prefer doing jumps on a server 8)
