Another way is using entity_spawn_master and entity_spawn_point, though this has some issues with spawning them in.

I was making a sick pump jump for the toth map but it's not race friendly

You can also use env_explosions + some trigger mechanism. Respawning breakable brushes is also possible if you want something other than a model to explode.
