I am currently making a pyro jump map, and I have run in to a problem. I created a level, an entire room. The problem is that when you run the map, that room doesn't exist. It does in SDK Hammer, but not when I run the map. Do you have any ideas what my problem could be?

posting the .vfm file would help, since your issue could be caused by loads of things

Remove the volume with trigger texture which isn't an object but still a worldbrush and it works (at least for me)
or making it an trigger object ofc

I seem to have run into a new problem: when placing blocks and making them hollow to make a room, they simply don't appear in the map. It is the same problem that I thought that I had last time, but this time I'm sure I have no solid block inside of the map. Any ideas?

I ran into this problem before. You need to have at least 1 entity in the room otherwise it won't render, you could put in a tele destination or something.

Unrelated but might be handy for pyro jump mapping. If you cover a surface entirely in nogrenades all forms of explosive jumping will be prevented EXCEPT flare jumping.

That's really useful, but I don't see the point of making the map unplayable for solly and demo.

It could be of some marginal use if you are using rocket spawners or something; or if you wanted specific pyro routes on a 'normal' jump map
