spooky Halloween surprise, not going to have much in terms of pictures or videos on the thread since I'm trying to get this up quickly before I leave for work. Will try to add some later tonight when I get home

Changelog:
A1: (20 jumps, 4 Bonus)
-Initial release

Final: (20 Jumps, 4 Bonus)
-Rotated 3 so it would line up with the other jumps
-Raised the ceiling on 13,16 and 19
-Fixed some texture scaling issues on 18
-Made 20 easier (Raised ceiling and skip platform)
-Replaced Bonus 3 (Still on the map technically just noclip to the left of bonus 4)
-Changed glass textures to be non reflective
-Small visual changes to Jump 8,10,11,12,13,14,15,17,18,19,20 and Bonus 2,3
-Changed the reset teleports to be in a more consistant spot
-Fixed the stairs in CP room
-Raised water 8u on last

Really nice
I'd say the jumps where you constantly bop your head on the skybox are kinda annoying, I'd prefer it more just making the end longer as well as increasing the skybox

I also really liked the idea of last with the water :)

I also really liked the idea of last with the water :)

Some of them have lower cielings to prevent people from cheesing them by just resyncing or something and to make sure you're getting a good amount of horizontal speed. As of right now it's fairly unlikely that I will work on the map for quite some time so most stuff might as well be final.

The water was somewhat awkward to make but I think it came out really well. I was having issues with being able to see exactly where stuff is under the water and the grates were sometimes not rendering properly. I think it's not as nice looking as normal water but for functionality I think it is much better, and not super difficult to work in.

Updated to final version assuming that I didn't fuck anything up with this release. Should be good for Tempus now.

I love this map, although 18 was noticeably harder than the rest of the map. Also 19's water isn't really consistent for me, like on that one jump on jurf. epic map tho

Do you mean 19/20? I personally don't think 18 (turn around wallshots to skip to wallshots to pumpkin skip) is very difficult but I guess it's a bit more precise. I did originally have 19 as last but I felt that 20 while a bit easier is a bit more fitting for a last jump. The water should function exactly like normal water I just changed it to not render and then overlaid a transparent func_brush so that people on dx8 can actually see stuff under the water.

I think the problem with the water is not the water itself but the fact that the tele under the water is too high at the start. When I played the map I would sometimes land in the water and get instantly teleported as if you go underwater for a few milliseconds. I think it's the same problem as that jump on jurf. Should be an easy fix though.

I originally wanted to have the water like that so that it would prevent people from just doing a water triple on the pumpkin to semi cheat the jump, I made a test version where I raised the water 8u and it seems to prevent the fail when you're going into the water too fast but then does allow people to just triple on the pumpkin at the end. Not sure what would be better since I didn't have a lot of trouble doing last currently and raising the water does make the jump feel a little more awkward when I tried it as well as adds a pretty easy cheat for last.

Alright i see why you would want to anticheat that. You can always raise the water or lower the floor at the part of the water in front of the pumpkins so theres always a safe place to land, and keep the water above the pumpkins the same. Also you could anticheat it by putting a lower ceiling above the water so you can't go high enough to triple.

Honestly preventing the cheat is probably not worth making the jump feel shitty, I'll likely just re-release it tomorrow with the water raised by 8u.

EDIT: Should also say if there are any other jumps that people feel need to be tweaked please let me know, I'll likely do the fix and recompile sometime tomorrow.

level 4 u can shoot the hole twice and go to end.
level 5 u can skip the 3rd pumpkin.
level 14 u can jump off to jumpbug it and skip all of the pogo.
and the old bonus seems fun you should add that
idk what to do for level 7 cuz after the pumpkin and wallshot u can just triple to end

epic map

Intended for 4 is to shoot a rocket down as you're falling and then shoot the pumpkin again to push yourself to the end, I guess you can also wallpogo but that's much harder/slower than the intended way.

I mainly kept that last pumpkin on 5 for symmetry + if you get a weird catch on the second one being able to save yourself if you do a nice strafe.

Intended for 7 is jump -> wallshot -> skip off the pumpkin -> wallshot to end. The triple may be easier but I don't think there is anything that is faster than intended. Here's a gif of it since a lot of people don't seem to understand the intended idea for it: https://i.imgur.com/5ewi29Q.mp4

On 14 you can also rj into the door at the end of 13 to skip but you only get one shot at it. Having the bounce/jumpbug cheat on that jump doesn't bother me too much since honestly the jump isn't super hard just  kinda tedious and I think those kinda strats in a speedrun are pretty cool.

The bonus is still on the map you just need to noclip to the side of bonus 4, I imagine they will add it once it's up on Tempus but trying to make it non cheatable is too much of a pain in the ass so it will probably like t1/2

idk personally for me level 4 cheat is easier and it also might be faster because u can only shoot the wall twice and reach to the end.
