New servers in France!

We've got 4 new servers hosted in France, thanks to the generosity of kaptain and our EU community! We're trying something new this time and introducing rank restricted and rookie servers. Check em out:

rookie map list needs more demo maps

How about restricting map vote rights on the rank servers, instead of not letting lower ranked players join at all? Spectating is still a big thing in jumping and I don't really think it's harmful at all to make these changes

Also I really want to have the feeling that I can shitpost on every single server without any type of restriction and im really lazy to rank up, thank you in advance

Agreed 100% with ladyboog here, if you limit a server to 50 or 100 ranks it will NEVER be full. There will be plenty of room for spectators who want to watch, as long as they can't vote.

The limit seems a bit too much for me, as someone who jumps a lot but isn't ranked very high (at the very border of Esquire and Nobel).
I also agree that the limit should only affect the vote, not the possibility to connect...

But either way I can't wait to try out those french servers, kudos to everyone who made that happen

+1 for vote restrictions only

on the off chance the server does get full, you could set it up in a way that if a rank 50/100 player wants to join but the server is full, it would kick somebody who doesn't meet that rank

I disagree, rank only server are better than vote restriction only. There's 4 eu server, 5 with russia, 2 more with rank restricted access doesn't change much if you don't have access to them.

Tho I agree it would be cool if you don't have the rank that you could join as spectator only, if that's possible. But letting people play but without vote access would just make people beg to get a map extended. And since everybody is nice and cool they would extend.

To be fair though, the other EU servers are barely worth playing on half of the time. The ping issues are horrendous. The french servers are infinitely better, and having them restricted is a little disappointing.
