Hey guys, so currently I am creating a 5 course map in the style of 4starters and Cube (50 Levels) t1-5. The only issue I have got at the moment is with textures; every colour texture I've got looks like garbage and I kinda want the courses colour coded similar to these maps. Are there any pack downloads I can get with better textures for this purpose or is there a good way I can create them myself? All advice appreciated. Thanks.

Cube mostly has gray dev textures, the colour comes from the lights that it uses. You might find some dev textures at tf2maps.net or other mapping forums.
They're not that hard to make either, just go into paint/gimp/whatever you use and make a 512x512 image. Fill it with the colour you want and add a black line of 2-4 pixels around the sides. Then follow this tutorial to get the texture into hammer:

Also here's a tutorial on glowing textures, which are used a lot as well:

The CS:Source textures on Gamebanana are a really great resource as well. Some of them can be hit-and-miss but there are a lot of high quality collections on it. The textures there should work fine for TF2 without any adjustment too.

Textures from any Source game on Gamebanana could work, but some like CS:GO might have texture parameters or features that aren't available in TF2's branch of source.
