jump_back_v3


T4 retro solly map. Jumps are arranged mostly by difficulty. This is the first map I am genuinely proud of :)

7: this spacing works well with a very specific speedshot, def harder than 8

10: the 2nd speedshot is at an inconsistent height to hit, making it higher and maybe a bit closer should make it feel better, the jump does work as is though, with just ss -> ss -> rampshot -> wallshot, or wallsync if ur slow enough.

11: not really sure what im supposed to do here, i beat the jump with a sync ss -> double -> ctap resync .

12: this jump is very easy, i would put it at 9.

Jump 7 (speedshot > wallsync) has been improved so that the speedshot is more consistent and the jump is easier.
jump 10 (speedshot > speedshot > rampshot > wallsync) has been improved so that the 2nd speedshot and the rest of the jump is closer
jump 11 (sync ss > prefire > sync wallshot) has had nogrenade removed from the wallshot area.

as for the order of the jumps, it's going to change once all the kinks in the other jumps have been worked out. As for repacking, the map size is less than 20k kb so I'm gonna leave it as is

I see the model at the end but it has no textures, so purble checkerboard, would be nice to have a fast reset on some levels like last that take a while to fail, maybe side walls on last could reset you.

THE MAP IS FINISHED. Updated to final version (b0?)
Changed last entirely to make it more run-safe (no longer a double speedshot)

Ready to be added to tempus unless a major problem is found :)

The doors at spawn aren't teleporting me to the jumps, am I missing something or are they broken?

edit: there dont seem to be any working teles

I just checked, they dont work.
But they did in the version i downloaded and played like 3 days ago.
I smell a sneaky update which uses the same map name.


Since im here now, i have 2 things on my mind that annoy me a bit:
-Map could use some detailing
-I feel like the timer should start once you leave the start platform of jump1, not when teleporting to 1

Rest of the map felt fine

You are correct.

Map intentionally left un-detailed. The theme was Benroads/retro styled jumps and those use very similar detailing
The timer is intentionally like that. I want players to know how long it took for them to beat the map without the timer restarting every time they fail level 1

added some arrows near funny 9-10 connector
