Here's something to compare the green box skip to.
Consider asdf, where demoman must bhop on 3rd last to compete for wr. As we all know, a bhop is much more precise than 0.25 seconds. One might even call it tick perfect. Missing this strat means resetting the run. If this bhop was removed since it promotes grinding until you hit a precise timing, devoid of jumping skill which will allow you to contest wr, the alternative is speedily pogoing down the jump as intended. And yet, because it is a bhop, I can't recall any talk of this strat being removed.
So we have asdf, where the alternative to a much more precise strat would be skillful speed pogo, and housebeta, where the alternative to a much less precise strat is pogoing in place for 30s. But we absolutely have to fix housebeta because the skip (which skips very easy pogo for an arbitrary amount of time) involves "no jumping skill".
You know, I always thought that precision, whether in timing or positioning, was an important part in a jumper's skillset.
Finally, I'd like to know what supposed bad things I've done. Rather than just allude to them, tell me. I can't think of anything. Regarding the offclass wr bug, I never set a time. Sure, the maps were disabled, but I never actually did anything on it. In fact, Reero mentioned afterwards he was going to kick me if I got near the end.
