Hello everyone!
Boshy has been banned for 5 months now, here's an update and decisions that were made for his situation.
Recap- Boshy received a 3 months ban for admin abuse on february 19th. There were proof of multiple bonuses and tricks cheat using admin only commands. His admin powers were revoked.
- There were concerned raised about suspicious course wrs. The theory was that he edited the end zone to make his time harder to beat.
- An investigation started by the Tempus head administration regarding course/map zone history. While the investigation was active, Boshy's ban has been extended for another 3 months.
Current situationWhile the investigation is still in progress, we feel Boshy has received a fair punishment for what he was initially banned for: Bonus/Trick admin abuse. He got a 6 months ban for something that was initially a 3 months ban on the simple theory of a possible cheated course zone edit with no proof to back it up.
For that reason, we've agreed to set a unban date on august 19th 2021, for a total of 6 months ban.
The investigation about course/map zone history is still on going, and his ban may get extended if proofs are found later on. We've only decided it isn't fair to extend the ban past 6 months based on a suspicion.
Recent eventRecently, Boshy used an alt to play on Tempus. No tts or wrs were set on his alt.
Alting on Tempus to evade a ban is obviously against the rule and warrants a ban, but for how long?
Analyzing the past alting ban history, it is dealt with on a case by case basis, based on the severity of the alting (if wrs/tts were set on the alt) and also based on the previous ban length if applicable.
e.g. Someone perm ban who alts will received a perm ban on his alt.
Or someone who alts and and gets multiple tts and wrs while his main isn't banned will receive a ban length based on the damage done.
In Boshy's case, we've come to the conclusion that his ban will be extended for another 3 months for alting, meaning a total of 9 months ban, unban date on november 19th 2021.
This doesn't change the fact that at any point if the course zone history investigation brings proof of cheating, the ban will be extended appropriately.
