this is a map made up of lots of soldier jumps from other soldier and demoman jump maps that all have one thing in common and that thing is that they all require the soldier to rocket jump up a hole of some kind as well as do some other things but the main characteristic is that they have a hole in them hence the name holestars which is a play on words on jump_allstars which is a good map and so it is a nice name to make a reference towards but a bit more about jump_holestars it has jumps going all the way up to t6 which makes it among the hardest soldier maps since that is the hardest tier a map can receive and this means it is a good challenge for soldier jumpers but not only that it is in the style of jump_hopstep2 which means that you spawn into a big freestyle map-esque hub world incorporating parts of all the maps that the hole jumps are taken from and not only that you are allowed to beat each jump in whatever order you like and to spice it up every 5 jumps out of the 35 total jumps on this map you get teleported to a checkpoint tube which serves the double purpose of letting this map be zoned on tempus and teleporting you to a particular part of the hub world and this is of significance for routing the map which will be a lot of fun for those who enjoy playing holes jump a lot of which i am not included and so you may be wondering how i got so many hole jumps and how all of them are the good ones and the answer to that question is that the holder of the jump_vulc flawless record as seen on tf2rjweekly riotbz went through all the maps with holes for soldier and told me his favourites so if you dont like the jumps on this map you are essentially saying that riotbz has bad taste in hole jumps which is a bold claim since he is one of the foremost soldier hole jumps connoisseurs and you know what i agree with riotbz that these are some particularly good hole jumps for soldier but that isnt to say that this map is bad or boring for demoman because many maps riotbz picked jumps from are actually demo maps and a lot are demoman pogo maps which often have good jumps and a lot of these are no exception to that rule even if a couple are quite hard such as one or two that put this map at t6 for demoman which means this map is t6 for both jumping classes so it is challenge to complete no matter what class you play on it but that isnt to say if you cant beat t6 jumps that there is not content on jump_holestars as many of the jumps are not too hard as soldier or downright easy on demoman owing to the differences between the two classes and these differences are apparent on the 35 jumps on this map which is quite a lot so i had to use a different non linear logic system than that i used on jump_hopstep2 which is really just an extended version of the logic i used on jump_beryllium which is a combination of the unique player naming system and the logic magic that gorge employs on his many gimmick maps to get logic specific to each player and speaking of gorge i would like to shoutout the excel vba script he posted in the tf2rjweekly mapping channel because it saved me a lot of time in copying and pasting the logic for player 1 to the other 23 players that the map is equipped to handle for when it eventually reaches a tempus server near you and hopefully at that time everyone will have fun playing this map and going through holes as either class even though this map is intended for soldier

after careful consideration i have concluded that i dislike riotbz and will not be downloading this map.

this is a very interesting map idea it is very similar to jump_hopstep2 but there is one thing that confuses me because you say the map is intended for the soldier class of team fortress two but it has jumps that were originally intended for the demoman class of team fortress two this perplexes me because would that mean that you can say a jump is intended for soldier just by taking it out of its original demoman intended map that is an intriguing idea but i cannot argue with riotbz he is a very smart man and i am sure his choice of hole jumps is very good thank you for compiling this very cool map and i like the way you have done it freeform so that it may be zoned on tempus but it still lets you choose the jumps to do thats a very cool concept that i hope more people can use on their new maps thank you again and i hope i and many others will enjoy going through the holes on this map as both classes even though it is intended for soldier
