Jump_Academy - We need your help "Mappers"

Hey Mappers, here is the Tf2 Jump Academy team!
We are working on our own map, it's call jump_academy, and are trying to get more Mappers to help. Currently are 2 people working on this map, but because we want to get about 80 jumps, we need a few more!

80 sounds like far too many imo even 30-40 is rather long. However if you're okay with just some dev textured jumps i have an idea or two for some silly jumps that i could probably make for you. What skill range were you looking for

The 8 stages are:
- Rocketjump ABC
- Wall jumping course
- Pogo jumping course
- Sync jumping course
- Timed jump challenge
- Endurance jump challenge
- Precision jump challenge
- Champion course

im pretty sure jump_minecraftia was like 80 jumps when it hit the brush limit. its still very playable, aside from the cringe worthy textures

in other words, no overly and unnecessarily detailed jumps, featuring pointless waterfalls, graveyards, and houses with motion activated doors.  Yeah who wants a map like that.

Pretty decorated maps are fine but I don't play jump maps to view the scenery. I am perfectly fine with maps that are just straight forward dev textured jumps. It makes it feel more like I am there to jump. I think that people will understand if a jump academy map designed for jump training is plain, square and blocky.

If you would rather have the map all pretty and curvy with more complex decorations then maybe more than 1 map could be made. Instead of 1 map including a rocket jump course, Wall jumping course, Pogo jumping course, Sync jumping course, Timed jump challenge, Endurance jump challenge, Precision jump challenge and Champion course, how about a map for training courses and a map for the endurance/precision jump challenges and the champion course? Maybe it could be split up into 3 - 4 maps?

Thanks for your comment, but we will definetly look for good jumps not for the best desgin.

Of course design is a part too, but for the Tf2 Jump Academy, its more important to have nice jumps :)

Hello all, I am the one responsible for jump_academy.

For those who thinks 80 will be plenty, keep in mind that a lot of the jumps will be small but not claustrophobic. I am indeed aware of the limits of brushes and brushfaces, so I will not overly detail anything.

I would also prefer to keep it all in one, since I want the map to house both newbies and skilled jumpers, in response to the majority of maps that are hostile to either of the jumpers.

If you wish to provide jumps, please make them bare-bones so I can "prettify" them and make them fit in somewhere in the map.

It's a good jump.  I was still kind of peeved at not being included in the map.
