Hey folks!

Some time ago I put up a "jump_noname" thread for a map I was kicking around. Ended up junking the whole thing and returning to the drawing board. From there, I built a brand new map (with increased Hammer chops).

So today, I submit to you, jump_babylon, a medium-difficulty map with 13 jumps. I labored on the detailing.

visually awesome!  jumps are straightforward.  I have no complaints.  It's clear you put some thought and effort into it, so nice job.  8)

Thanks! :D It took much longer than I anticipated because I kept riffing on the design. And then adding more textures, particles, sounds, and 800 years of polish. I'm expecting the next map to go much faster, since the learning curve has been surmounted.

Needless to say, great visual design and detail. Some maps lack consistency in visual design (which this has in spades) and while it looks great, maybe some variety in the architecture would do it some good.

Yeah, I don't disagree. Had I done connectors instead of doors (which sounded much harder), this would've been true. I expect to explore a nicer variety in future maps.

Thanks for the kind words. :D

Nice map you have there, and the waterfall looks glorious. I've seen a couple of tutorials for that but not actually got it working - did you find a good one?
