New Maps / Jump_Jakey_a2! :O

     Here's my first map that i've been workin on since I first started using Hammer, it currently has 10 15 levels (Mostly made while up late at night or when I was bored/sick) And yes, this is a soldier map silly gooses! If you find anything that seems odd plz tell/show me or give some feedback on what you think

Change Log - Changed nearly all of the levels, added 5 more jumps and fixed broken teleporters (removed 2 jumps)

I would also like to thank Afterglow since his Hammer tutorial cleared some things up for me/gave me some motivation to actually map



 To Do List:
- Add a death/trap spawn for blue
- At least 20 jumps
- Backtracking tele-doors
- Even out the skill inclination
- Smooth-en the lighting
- Fix any recorded bugs
- Number each jump
- Think of some gay things to put on this dumb list
- Finally, design once content with the map

I was just messing around on Hightower pub and attempted to do a double sync but instead accidentally edgebugged off of the wooden barrier off into the cliff which was pretty funny imo -

Jump Videos / Virtual Dub i guess?

From what i've found from scoundering the interwebs that virtual dub is the best way to convert the .tga files from "startmovie tf2JumpOP" into a .avi but whenever I import them into vdub and turn it into an avi file the video is still extremely laggy and i can't seem to sync the audio correctly. Is this due to me being dumb like usual or am I not using the correct compressing tools? Well if anyone has some tips/guide/video on this topic it would be greatly appreciated! And I know that other people get confused and have the same question as me for i've been trying to put together some clips but I can't understand how to fix this currently. And no I don't want to just record it with FRAPS b/c i know some people will suggest that... And last I'm just planning on using camtasia to throw the vids together to edit which I've grown fond to. Help much appreciated

Mapping Tutorials / Sandviches

This may seem QUITE a bit out there, but is there a way to say, throw down a sandvich on something that then allows a door to open? Kind of like a button but instead of hitting/shooting it a sandvich has to fall on top of it to trigger the door open. This is VITAL for my map :3

Lately I've been starting up different/random custom maps on a local server, some of them are great for rocket jumping like Calamity_beach mainly because of the several water jumps and high skybox, anyways I was wondering if Y'ALL had any suggestions of CUSTOM maps that are really fun to mess around on!

Pretty much everyone on my friends list has gotten tired of TF2 and i was looking for some people that i could chat over Skype while playing TF2! Concidering that I'm posting this on a Rocket Jumping website I would prefer that you at least know the basics of jumping I myselft can do C on Jump_4starters_a9 concidering i don't know any other way to show how "good" i am at RJing lol. I'm 16 from Iowa and I'm looking forward to either having a group of people to talk with, or even just one other person, if your interested leave a reply and i can send you my steam/Skype info!
