Rules are finalized!
Only post here if you are the Team Captain and have a team ready!

Rules
• Teams are maxed at 2 players ONLY.
• Teammate didn't show up? Sorry, no backups. Teams must show up on time or they will be DQ'd.
• You may only be in one team. No multi-teaming.
• The server will not include any of the donator perks or any models/fancy stuff, this includes bungee.
Bunnyhop and goomba will be enabled so I suggest you start practicing. It can be disabled by typing /bhop.
• Team captains must post their teams using the below format. Only team captains should do this.

Dodge iT / Contest for free Unusual

Ranks will be reset tomorrow in order to start the new contest. The prize, of course, is an unusual Purple Confetti Napper's Respite generously donated by Warp. Here is the way this works.

The tourney will start Sunday 10/13 around noon EST. It can lasts several hours or several days depending on the availability of the players. Tourney info is below (anyone can join to practice):

Format:
• Double elimination. You lose 2 matches and you're out. The 5 maps that will be played are:

Rules and Info:
• Each player will be given one warning when breaking a rule. Upon a second infraction you will personally be kicked from the match and the rest of the tournament.
• Airblasting costs ammo. 60 ammo per airblast and it regens at a rate of 10 every 6 seconds. A rocket reflect completely refills your ammo.
• Nukes will be used.
• This will be a double elimination bracket. Each match is 1 map best 3 of 5 rounds. Semis and finals are the same except they are best 2 of 3 maps.
• For all matches, the first map is chosen in this manner: Each team takes turns striking out a map until one map is left. The 2nd match the winner bans a map and then the loser can choose a map. The same applies for the 3rd map played out.

Run iT / Admin application v2

If you're looking to become an admin on Run iT, here is the place to apply. Since I do not spend a lot of time on the server, I am going to let users apply for admin here. After carefully reviewing the applications, I will end up picking 1 admin.

Here are the basic qualifications:

• Be friendly and helpful (especially to new people). I love it when users are nice to others and happy to help.
• Behave properly. I want someone that behaves like an admin and doesn't throw a temper tantrum.
• Play a good amount. I don't want an admin that rarely plays on the server.
• Be able to handle situations and diffuse problems properly.

Here are my recommendations which will increase your chance of being picked as an admin:

• Have a microphone (and don't have a high-pitch voice).
• Have admin experience on other servers.
• Have any server management or coding experience.

Anyone can apply at any time, but keep in mind the recommendations. I will choose the admin within a a few weeks or so. Do NOT lie about any of your information. Doing so is grounds for disqualification.

Run iT / Missing Map

If you have encountered a missing map problem and can't join the server, try these few tricks:

1) Go to your maps folder and delete the map you are having trouble with. The location of the file will be in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\download\maps

Once you delete the map, rejoin the server so you can re-download the map.

2) Make sure you allow all custom files to download

3) If you did the first two steps and they didn't work, download the map from here and put it in your maps folder.

Dodge iT / Addition of the Store plugin.

Quite a few players have continuously mentioned I add the Store plugin to the server for quite some time now. I am creating a poll so everyone can vote on whether I should add it or not.

The store plugin will consist of (type !store):

-Sounds (only several second sounds)
-Funitems (respawn, big/small head, high/low voice pitch)
-Weapon colors (red, green, blue, etc.)

I am not not sure if I should add Trails.

Let me know what you want. Poll closes a week from now.

Just post in this thread by making an account (top right of this screen). If you are too much of a failure to make an account, post the idea in my profile (type !scorp in-game).

Example:

Hi, I would like to suggest the trail "THE GODDAMN" in black as well as this link model (link here). Also, can you please add a token that resizes everyones head really big?

I will review your post and decide if I should add it or not. The more people like an idea, the more likely  I will add it to the server!

Also, fell free to suggest things I should edit or take away.

Dodge iT / Lag Issues

If you are experiencing a steady higher-than-normal ping only on my server, then it's probably a problem with your Internet and interNAP. You will need to perform a tracert and send the info to nfoservers.

1) Click the start menu and choose or type (then hit enter) run

2) In the box that pops up, type in cmd and hit enter.
     

3) In the black box that pops up, type in tracert serverip (where serverip is 74.91.121.21) and then hit enter.
     

4) You will start to get a lot of data appearing in the black area. It should look similar to this:
     

5) When it's done, copy the data by right clicking on the title bar and going to "edit > select all" and then "edit > copy"

6) Open your email and compose a new message to support@nfoservers.com. Paste the information that you just copied in that email and include your personal IP address, the reference #263001, AND a short description of the type of lag you are experiencing i.e. ping, loss, choke etc.! (to get your ip, click here)

• Team backups are not permitted. Choose your five (or less) well.
• If any team player shows up late, they will have to wait until the next round to participate.
Everyone is responsible to show up on time.
• You may only be in one team. No multi-teaming.
• The server will not include any of the donator perks or any models/fancy stuff, this includes bungee.
Bunnyhop will be enabled so I suggest you start practicing. It can be disabled by typing /bhop.
• Team captains must have a working Mumble account.
You must be able to use Mumble on the day of the tournament to guide your teams into matches.
• Team captains must post their teams using the below format. Only team captains should do this.

Deathrun Rules

1. Only English speakers over the mic. No other language!

2. No spamming either over chat or mic.

3. Obey all the admins.

4. Continual harassment towards any player(s) is strictly prohibited. Being very annoying in general can apply.

5. Hacking or use of exploits will get you banned.

6. Do not get behind any moving AFK killer prop available in certain maps.

7. Jigsaw can lie about a freerun to trick the runners.

8. And most importantly, have fun!

Congrats to all the teams that participated! It was really fun running this tourney and also very time consuming. Many thanks to Dahrr and Parasynapsis for helping me run it.  I hope I can run another in the near future with better rules and layout. In order for me to do that, I need your feedback. Please let me know how your experience was and any tips/advice I could improve/add upon for the next tourney. Your help is much appreciated!
