I went to modify my profile, and when I saved it my language changed to chinese or something of that nature. :(
(I changed it back, but I definitely did not switch my language to chinese)

Very carefully
smf randomly sets language to chinese iirc just because chinese is the first alphabetically, it used to happen all the time when rush was screwing with themes all the time
